Why do you believe this tree should be selected as the winner in this category?

This painting was inspired by a magnificent magnolia tree located on the Elsie Perrin Williams Estate. An amazing tree that still has a number of blooms crowning its upper branches-- a late bloomer in August. I was inspired to paint this view of the tree from Elsie and husband Hadley's favourite lookout on the estate. This site became their final resting place that they share with their faithful dogs.
